Why Denise is Thankful
It’s hard to believe this year is coming to a close. It seems like only yesterday Melissa called me up and said, “I have a great idea! Let’s start a cooking blog together!” Looking back on 2013, I have so much to be thankful for.
First and foremost, I am thankful for my husband and kids who have been so supportive of my adventures this year. When I make something new or make an extra pretty presentation, they automatically ask if it’s going on McNacks. They make suggestions of what I should post and “demand” what is never to be shared outside the walls of our home! I really cannot believe how much I have been blessed to have these three in my life.
McNacks wouldn’t exist without my sister. Well…the “Nack” part wouldn’t be there anyway! As I have said before, she taught me everything I know about cooking. She has always been my inspiration both in the kitchen and out. I am and always will be thankful for having the most amazing sister!!
The support I have received from my friends this year has been overwhelming. Whether I needed a shoulder to cry on when my kids were officially done with elementary school or help in celebrating the big 4-0 in style (and everything in between), my friends have been there for me. I couldn’t imagine going through this thing called “life” without them.
Finally, I am thankful for Melissa. I would say that I am most thankful for our friendship, but after being McNacks partners for almost year, I will now say I am most thankful for her patience and that she hasn’t ditched me yet! As we all know, Melissa is the “analytical” one. She is the techie and the brains behind the operation. I come up with fun “out of the box” things to do like Baconfest and Beerfest. She is the one who comes back with, “Remember…before you publish a post you need to do a, b…x,” over and over and over again. She makes it all come together in a nice pretty website!

I love my sister too! Your support means more than you will ever know!!
Your posts are the only e-mails tht I allow on my lap top… and I actually look forward to them… I am retired now and really enjoy cooking and baking bread…Sooo… thank you both for great recipes and humor that always cheers up my day.. don
Thanks Don!
