Spinach Sausage

I love spinach and just about all green vegetables. If a dish can be made healthier by throwing in some spinach, I’m all about it. However, I will say that I draw the line at spinach sausage. On my recent vacation, we went to a Brazillian restauarant and one of the skewers they brought was spinach sausage. Green meat just is not appealing. I don’t care what anyone says. Yes…we discussed Dr. Seuss that night and all agreed that even though he was a talented writer, some foods just really should not be green! Not only was it not appealing to the eye, it was not appealing to the palate either. I was a big girl that night and actually tried it since there was no real good reason for me not to. It was spongy and really had no taste. I’m a texture person and I have to say that it was really kind of gross. I much prefer traditional sausage that has spinach in it. So…note to our readers, healthier isn’t always better!!
