Candied Bacon

Candied Bacon is GREAT as an appetizer, as an accompaniment, on pizza and so much more. If you think it’s hard to make, think again. It’s ridiculously easy. Here’s how to do it:

1) Preheat oven to 400 Degrees

2) Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil (if you have baking sheet grates, even better!!!)

3) Put your bacon down on the parchment paper or grate. Cook for 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven.

4) Sprinkle a good bit of brown sugar on each bacon piece (add chili powder and/or cayenne to spice it up a bit)

5) Cook for an additional 20+ minutes until done and crispy. Note: it will go from done to burnt quickly so keep an eye on it those last minutes.

6) Eat, chop, top or whatever!

That’s it – simple enough and who wouldn’t like a piece of candied bacon, really?!
