How to plan a party (Part 1)

Ok, so the title should really be called “How to plan 5 parties in 5 days.” Some might say I am a glutton for punishment. I say, “Bring on the parties, the people and the food!” I have come to realize that I am in my element and very happy when I am surrounded by people I love and  serving awesome food. Every event is at my house and will have a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 30 people per party.  No…I did not really plan to have all 5 events coincide, it’s just how the calendar worked out. You really have no control over holidays and birthdays. My sister coming in town also played a part in the schedule of events! I consider this a challenge, not an inconvenience.

I will be posting a multi-part series on the parties. The posts will include everything from details of each event, menus, prepping food, recipes, getting the house ready, when to do your shopping, make lists, and most importantly, how not go crazy when you are hosting a party!!!

Here’s schedule of events:

Tuesday: Baconfest

Wednesday: Cookout with Friends from “The Old Days”

Thursday: Independence Day Celebration

Friday: Family Fun Fest

Saturday: Special Birthday Celebration for a Special Aunt

Make sure you check back for how I put this all together. I’m sure there will be a few surprises along the way, but I can assure you it will all be taken in stride. You will get the good, the bad, and the “You’ve got to be kidding me.” I’ve got a fabulous, yet busy weekend ahead. Better get started!!! Wish me luck!
